Dear Editor,

We read the publication on “A tertiary center experience of fracture penis: Early surgical management with a clinical diagnosis” with a great interest.[1] Kumar et al. concluded that “History and clinical examination clinch the diagnosis. Considering it as a urological emergency, radiological imaging is not required routinely.”[1] We agree that the clinical diagnosis by history taking and physical examination is an important part for diagnosis. Nevertheless, the role of imaging investigation should be discussed. Without imaging investigation, the diagnosis of exact site of lesion might be impossible. A recent report shows that the CT investigation can provide good identification of lesion and allow further minimally invasive surgical management of the case.[2] As noted by Hasali et al., “the proper diagnosis by imaging studies and taking actions accordingly can save the patients from unnecessary surgeries that indeed increase the bill of the medical care directly and indirectly.”[3]
